Wood is the most natural building material. It is ecological (it is a renewable element), biodegradable, economical, non-toxic and generates less energy costs (use of solar energy, chlorophyllic function ) Forests play an important part in the fight against carbon dioxide emissions. As they grow older, trees lose their capacity to absorb carbon, and so converting old trees into finished products with different woods (solid wood flooring, parquet flooring, panelling, beams, doors, etc.) ensure the carbon remain attached to these products for many years, and even centuries. In the new plantations, the old trees are replaced by new ones, which absorb more carbon, thereby achieving greater benefits for the environment in addition to less energy consumption in obtaining wood-based products as opposed to almost all other products used in the building trade.
